The food is really good. I was surprised how good it is. I am so glad to have tried it out.
Quick and easy service. Brisket is on point! Perfect smoke flavor and cut perfectly. No sauce necessary for the brisket or ribs. The baked beans are basically dessert! Good job LA23, I just wish I live closer to this place. There aren't many competitors of this caliber of BBQ in the New Orleans area.
Their BBQ is some of the best around. Get it while it's hot, they sell out right after the lunch crowd. I love the baked beans that's mostly sausage. They only have bottled water, no tap, so bring your own unless you are fine with buying water.
If I could give 0 or negative stars I most certainly would. Let me preface this review by stating that a coworker of mine has brought in food several times and it indeed tasted great. Well today a few or my other co-workers and I decided to give it a go ourselves. We have copies of the menu that say in bold black and white "DELIVERY MENU $20 MINIMUM". So I called at 10:30 am on the dot (as most know bbq can sell pretty quickly). I asked were there any other criteria beyond the $20 minimum as the delivery would be coming to a business on Manhattan Blvd. The man asked what I was planning to order, to which I responded 3 plates (totaling at least $50 after tax). The man responded "no I'm not going to waste a delivery on 3 plates. It would be different if you had an order for 20 people. You can come pick up the food it will be ready in less than 10 seconds, but I'm not going to have that delivered". I was obviously in shock due to the response and couldn't find words so he continued on to say "have a nice day" as if we had exchanged pleasantries and I had in fact made an order. Even if, you didn't find it "worthy" to accept money for your food and a service of delivery that only had a $20 minimum order to meet delivery requirements, your lack of professionalism and human decency will ensure that myself nor anyone else I know will dine here again. Out of sausage, brisket was about 2 hours undercooked... and the young guy taking my order gave me an attitude for asking for a drink after I ordered. The pulled pork is good other than the tiny marble sized bone piece I found in mine.
